Animal Aid’s Friday 13th Feline Adoption Frenzy! Print E-mail
Animal Aid is offering cats over 6 years of age shelter fee free and a 50% discount on the shelter fee for cats less than six years of age (including kittens!) over the Friday the 13th weekend.

Animal Aid is aiming to rehome at least 13 cats a day and is calling out to all cat lovers to adopt from one of their three shelters in Coldstream, Bairnsdale and Sale over the three days.

With kitten season at its peak all three shelters at full feline capacity, Animal Aid has too many friendly and happy cats of all ages needing forever homes.

Animal Aid has a great selection of feline personalities, colours and sizes including tabby, ginger, grey, white and even black cats – perfect for the Friday 13th event and one to suit everyone.

At the end of summer the three shelters are overflowing and are struggling to accommodate the never ending intake of cats and kittens. Animal Aid are calling on the community to take part in this special Friday 13th weekend Adopt-a-thon and help them reach their goal of finding homes for 13 cats a day.

Animal Aid General Manager, Nell Thompson, is hoping that the reduction in shelter fee will encourage anyone thinking about bringing a shelter cat into their life to take the leap.

"Sixty dollars isn't a lot to pay for a lifetime of love and devotion." she said.

"Considering you are getting a pet that is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and parasite free, it's incredible value. You would normally have to pay $300.00 for the veterinary work alone before you have factored in the price of purchasing the cat."

"Adopt a shelter cat on Friday 13th, Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th of April and help to save a life."
